The artworks are created using mixed media - a self-styled ‘heat-press collage’ technique. Involving photographs, ink work, drawing, digital imagining and a final hands on collage in sections onto artist's canvas that makes each original unique.
This process has evolved over 30 years from making light sensitive silver emulsion on watercolour paper, where photographs were printed and painted over, to the technique used today.
Ultimately, the work is created as art - not a technical admiration image - the humanity of creativity is evident.
Hopefully, the final image is enjoyed for the pleasure it brings - the process is merely a road travelled to reach the final vision.
